The APRA is based in Pennsylvania and sanctions rodeos throughout the northeast.Our cowboys and cowgirls compete in bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing, and breakaway roping.

The purpose of the association shall be to promote rodeo as a sport and profession, striving at all times to insure honesty and fairness to both the contestant and the producers; to create an amicable relationship among stock contractors, producers, and contestants; to organize, sanction, and advertise rodeo being sponsored within the association standards and to the prevention of cruelty to animals.

Bruce Clarke – Longtime APRA member

Sunrise on Bruce W. Clarke on Sept. 7, 1950, and sunset on March 21, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the loving son of the late Arthur Clarke and Carmen Weston. Bruce attended Canarsie High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he graduated in 1968. He joined the Army in 1969 with an honorable discha
