The APRA is based in Pennsylvania and sanctions rodeos throughout the northeast.Our cowboys and cowgirls compete in bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing, and breakaway roping.
The purpose of the association shall be to promote rodeo as a sport and profession, striving at all times to insure honesty and fairness to both the contestant and the producers; to create an amicable relationship among stock contractors, producers, and contestants; to organize, sanction, and advertise rodeo being sponsored within the association standards and to the prevention of cruelty to animals.
The APRA Board of Directors and it’s members would like to send our deepest condolences to the Lutz family. On Saturday, May 28th Coy Lutz lost his life in a Bareback Riding accident. Coy was a wonderful young man and was very talented in the rodeo events he loved. Coy was the 2014 APRA Bar
