The APRA is based in Pennsylvania and sanctions rodeos throughout the northeast.Our cowboys and cowgirls compete in bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing, and breakaway roping.

The purpose of the association shall be to promote rodeo as a sport and profession, striving at all times to insure honesty and fairness to both the contestant and the producers; to create an amicable relationship among stock contractors, producers, and contestants; to organize, sanction, and advertise rodeo being sponsored within the association standards and to the prevention of cruelty to animals.

Dave Wibirt Celebration

There will be a celebration of Dave Wibirt’s life at the Painted Pony Championship Rodeo in Lake Luzerne, NY on Sunday, July 12th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dinner will be served and everyone is welcome.
